This beanie is the perfect project for beginner crocheters. You will slowly be introduced to the most basic crochet techniques. The beanie is crocheted as a rectangle with a double crochet stitch. The sides are then crocheted together and the edge is folded to create a nice, thick, fold that will keep your ears warm.

This pattern uses UK crochet terminology.
Sizes: S/M and M/L
Gauge: 20 stitches x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Crochet hook: 4 mm, or the one you hit the correct gauge
If you wish to make the beanie in only 1 colour, you will need a total of 3 balls of yarn for size S/M or a total of 4 balls of yarn for size M/L. This is the same for all yarn alternatives. This beanie would also be a great project for scrap yarn.
Yarn alternative 1: 1 strand of Hobbii Friends Wool (50g=100m). You will need: 4 (4) balls total, 2 of each colour.
Yarn alternative 2: 1 strand of Drops Lima (50g=100m). You will need: 4 (4) balls total, 2 of each colour.
Yarn alternative 3: 1 strand of Sandnes Double Sunday (50g=108m). You will need: 4 (4) balls total, 2 of each colour.
Yarn alternative 4: 3 strands of Hobbii Friends Kid Silk (50g=200m). You will need: 6 (6) balls total, 3 of each colour. We do not recommend this yarn alternative if you are a beginner, as it is more difficult to crochet with mohair.
Dificulty: ★ 1 - which corresponds to ultra easy. You can read about our classification of difficulties here
