About us

Hi there!

There is something magical about knitting and crochet. We, Elisabeth and Christine, believed that everyone should have the opportunity to experience this magic, and so we founded easy as knit in November 2020.

When Christine started knitting during the COVID-19 pandemic, she discovered just how difficult it can be to get started as a beginner. Elisabeth helped her along the way, and that experience became the starting point for a shared vision: to create a universe where beginners can find the guidance, support, and explanations that we ourselves felt were missing when we first learned to knit.

easy as knit is therefore built on the desire to offer guided learning, clear instructions, and a welcoming community where everyone, regardless of skill level, can grow and experience the joy of crafting. Since the beginning, we have expanded our universe with three books: easy as knit – ultra easy, Nem barselsstrik for alle, and our latest publication, easy. These books reflect our approach: handicrafts are best learned through doing.

Today, easy as knit is a growing brand, but our vision remains the same: to make knitting and crochet easier to learn and understand through our concepts and patterns, and to provide beginners with a safe and enjoyable experience using the tools and resources that we ourselves wished we had when we started knitting and crocheting.
