Easy Wild Sweater

The Easy Wild Sweater is worked from the top down with raglan increases and 4 different colourwork pattern repeats. The colourwork pattern repeats have their own separate sections of the sweater: One on the front piece, one on the back piece, and one on each sleeve.

This project is perfect for the knitter who has already made a project with simple colourwork and is ready to learn some more complex colourwork. This sweater might look quite difficult to make, however, you only ever work with 2 colours at a time and all of the colourwork is worked in the round and from the front side. This means that you can focus on one pattern repeat at a time and learn new techniques as you progress.

Circumference: 102 (108) 114 (120) 126 (132) 138 (144) cm

Gauge: 20 stitches x 22 rows of colourwork on 5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm. 

Needles: 5 mm circular needle (40 + 80 cm) + 4 mm (40 + 80 cm)

Yarn alternative 1: 1 strand of Hobbii Friends Wool (50g = 100m). You will need 7 (7) 7 (7) 8 (9) 9 (10) balls of the base colour and a total of 5 (5) 5 (6) 6 (8) 8 (9) balls of one or more contrast colours.

Yarn alternative 4: 1 strand of Sandnes Per Gynt (50g = 91m). You will need 8 (8) 8 (8) 9 (9) 10 (10) balls of the base colour and a total of 5 (6) 6 (6) 7 (8) 9 (9) balls of one or more contrast colours.
