Easy Moss Stitch Sweater

The Easy Moss Stitch Sweater is an easy-to-make, chunky sweater. It is worked from the top down in a moss stitch. The sweater has a classic raglan construction where the yoke is shaped by increases, before it is split into body and sleeves. The sweater is worked in stripes with a base colour and a contrast colour. You can either work all of the contrast stripes in the same colour or use different contrast colours for the stripes to achieve a different look.

Sizes:  XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) 3XL (4XL)

Measurements:

Circumference: 100 (106) 115 (120) 126 (135) 140 (149) cm 

Length: 52 (56) 57 (59) 62 (63) 65 (67) cm. This is easily adjustable.

Gauge: 14 stitches x 14 rows in a moss stitch on a 7 mm hook = 10 x 10 cm

Crochet hook: 7 mm crochet hook

Yarn usage when working with multiple contrast colours:
If you wish to make the sweater with multiple contrast colours, you must divide the amount of yarn balls you need in the contrast colour with the number of colours you wish to use as your contrast colours.

Yarn alternative 1: 2 strands of Hobbii Divina (50g=150m). You will need: 8 (8) 9 (9) 10 (11) 12 (13) balls of the base colour and 6 (6) 7 (7) 8 (8) 9 (10) balls of the contrast colour. 

Yarn alternative 2: 1 strand of Copenhagen Fibers Baby Alpaca Blend (50g=110m). You will need: 6 (7) 6 (7) 8 (8) 9 (10) balls of the base colour and 4 (4) 5 (5) 6 (6) 7 (7) balls of the contrast colour. HELD TOGETHER with 1 strand of Copenhagen Fibers Merino (50g=108m). You will need: 6 (7) 6 (7) 8 (8) 9 (10) balls of the base colour and 4 (4) 5 (5) 6 (6) 7 (7) balls of the contrast colour. 

Yarn alternative 3: 2 strands of Drops Air (50g=150m). You will need: 8 (8) 9 (9) 10 (11) 12 (13) balls of the base colour and 6 (6) 7 (7) 8 (8) 9 (10) balls of the contrast colour. 

Yarn alternative 4: 2 strands of Sandnes KOS (50g=150m). You will need: 8 (8) 9 (9) 10 (11) 12 (13) balls of the base colour and 6 (6) 7 (7) 8 (8) 9 (10) balls of the contrast colour.
