The Easy Colour Stripe Sweater Baby is a great basic sweater for your baby wardrobe. The fun stripe pattern is a great opportunity to learn how to do colourwork. The sweater is worked from the top down with raglan increases. Initially, it is worked back and forth to shape the neckline. Then, the piece is connected to work in the round. You will be working the simple stripe pattern as you make the sweater.

Sizes: 0-2 months (3-6 months) 6-9 months (9-12 months) 1-2 years

Measurements:

Circumference: 48 (52) 58 (62) 68 cm 

Length: 24 (28) 29 (32) 34 cm. This is easily adjustable.

Gauge: 20 stitches x 28 rows in a stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

Needles: 4 mm circular needle (40 cm + 80 cm) for the single coloured parts + 5 mm circular needle for the colourwork (40 cm + 80 cm)

Yarn alternative 1: 1 strand of Drops Lima (50g=100m). Depending on the size, you will need: 2 (3) 3 (4) 4 balls of the base colour, AND 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) ball of the contrast colour 1 AND 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) ball of the contrast colour 2. 

Yarn alternative 2: 1 strand of Hobbii Friends Wool (50g=100m). Depending on the size, you will need: 2 (3) 3 (4) 4 balls of the base colour. AND 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) ball of the contrast colour 1 AND 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) ball of the contrast colour 2. 

Yarn alternative 3: 1 strand of Sandnes Double Sunday (50g=108m). Depending on the size, you will need: 2 (2) 3 (3) 4 balls of the base colour. AND 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) ball of the contrast colour 1 AND 1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (1) ball of the contrast colour 2.
