Easy Chunky Socks

Easy Chunky Socks are a pair of warm, compact socks. They are worked in the round in a combination of stockinette stitch and double seed stitch. The double seed stitch frames the top of the foot. The socks are made from the top down towards the toe. The heel is easy to make and shaped by making decreases and increases.

Sizes: S (M) L which corresponds to the EU shoe sizes 35/37 (38/40) 41-44

Measurements:

Circumference: 16 (19) 21 cm

Length: 22/23 (25/26) 27/28 cm. This is easily adjustable.

Gauge: 16 stitches x 22 rows in a stockinette stitch on 5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

Needles: 5 mm circular needle(60/80 cm) 

Yarn alternative 1: 1 strand of Drops Wish (50g=40m). You will need 2 (2) 2 balls. HELD TOGETHER with one strand of YarnJunkies Hand Dyed Kid Silk Mohair (50g=420m). You will need ½ skein- i.e. 25 g

Yarn alternative 2: 2 strands of Sandnes KOS (50g=150m). You will need 2 (2) 2 balls

Yarn alternative 3: 1 strand of Drops Wish (50g=70m). You will need 2 (2) 2 balls
